The Kinmel Arms North Wales, offers luxury rooms and exquisite gourmet food set within the stunning scenery that is St.George, Abergele. Ideally situated along the main rambling routes of North Wales, The Kinmel Arms is located just off the A55, 15 mins from Llandudno and 25 mins from Chester.
With gourmet food of the very highest quality and four luxurious bedrooms that really must be seen to be believed The Kinmel Arms is a real jewel in the North Wales coastline, perfect for romantic getaways, weekend breaks and businessmen working in the area. The AA and Visit Wales have once again awarded us with a "5 Star Accommodation" rating, while Hardens UK Restaurants in association with Remy Martin fine Champagne Cognac said of The Kinmel Arms" one of the best places to eat in North Wales"
Having both eaten at The Kinmel Arms since childhood we conjured an image of what we would like it to be. After travelling widely in Britain, Europe and indeed the world, sampling great food and hospitality we wished we could bring together our best experiences and share them much closer to home. We are still searching for new ideas and tastes for your delight! On February 14th 2002 (a memorable romantic occasion!) we purchased The Kinmel Arms and redesigned the interior. We gave up our respective jobs in business management and teaching to transform our future and our new home. We and our staff look forward to welcoming you all to The Kinmel Arms, whether for a quick drink, a meal or an overnight stay.
The Kinmel Arms is perfectly situated as a base to explore North Wales.
Below we have listed some things you can explore whilst you enjoy your stay with us.
Good, quality, fresh food is the reason for the existence of The Kinmel Arms. We try to source as much produce as possible from Wales and North West England, however quality knows no boundary!
We delight in serving fantastic local fish and meat. Desserts are all made in our kitchens from the purest ingredients.
Our menu at lunch is of a Brasserie style, evenings see a more ‘A la Carte’ atmosphere. Whenever you dine with us you can be sure of only the very freshest ingredients we can find served in a simple, modern but creative way. Iechyd da!
NOTE: All our ingredients are freshly delivered and prepared daily to ensure that you as the customer are receiving the best quality food ranges that Wales and the Borders have to offer. At The Kinmel Arms we pride ourselves on seeking out the best wines, spirits and beers at the best prices! We use a range of suppliers to create an ever changing wine list full of tempting wines from all around the world
Our extensive list includes twenty ‘house’ wines available by the glass or bottle, from juicy Merlot, oaky Tempranillo to crisp, dry Sauvignon Blanc and fruity Chardonnay.
Cask ales are also a passion, with recent awards from CAMRA.Our guest ales change weekly with a superb Facer’s Flintshire Bitter cask ale and Gwynt y Ddraig cask cider always on tap.
Our four luxury suites are superb contemporary spaces. The upper floor rooms with lofty ceilings and skylights are airy and light. The ground floor giving the ultimate peaceful, relaxing hideaways. Each suite is individually designed and furnished with striking artworks created by Tim, as we wanted a clean, modern feel using natural materials in keeping with The Kinmel Arms itself, our own surroundings and ideas from our travels.
Inspired by our beautiful coastlines. Picking up a piece of driftwood leads one on a multitude of journeys. The comfortable worn feeling of the timber, each unique in its origins. The sense of transience but also permanence of the sea. A place to unwind.
Again coastline inspired but also linking to the inexorable journey of stone from mountain to sea.Pick up a rounded, solid pebble and roll it in your hand. You are feeling individuality, massive history and the reassuring familiarity that is pebble.
This is a state we all strive to achieve! Inspired by the abundant natural beauty of the area, especially the Snowdonia National Park and Gogarth on Anglesey. A state of floating, at one with yourself, pure relaxation an well being.
The eagle in Welsh. Of course, inspired by the fantastic Welsh landscapes of the mountains, the history and culture that surrounds them. Being in the mountains brings an uplifting, soaring feeling of freedom and ultimately peace.
