A Golfers Paradise

The Kinmel Arms is at the epicentre of a golfer’s paradise with three championship golf courses within a 15 minutes drive from our door. The first and the closest of all is Abergele Golf Club. Set in woodland that surrounds Abergele Castle this magnificent golf course offers a test for every handicap and your score often takes second place to the beautiful scenery that surrounds you.

At Rhuddlan Golf Club a warm welcome awaits and some interesting changes to the design of the course have seen the pond extended over the 10^th fairway to help with drainage meaning this course can now be enjoyed 12 months of the year by visiting parties. No two holes are the same at Rhuddlan Golf Course so you will leave with great memories of a great course and a great day.

If parkland courses are not your thing then there is only one course that you should contemplate. Prestatyn Golf Course is by far the best links golf course in the area and is a tough test indeed from the white or indeed the yellow tees. First time visitors should load up with plenty of golf balls as there is lots of rough to deal with if you miss the long finely groomed fairways.

By all means try further afield as there are over 50 first class golf courses within a 30 minute drive from The Kinmel Arms Hotel and as with all the golf courses listed in here you may well receive a discount on your green fees if you ask a member of our staff to book your green fees for you.

We have been awarded our second rosette this month on the quality of our food, culinary skills of our chefs and sourcing of local produce. Big, big thanks and praise to our whole staff, who together make The Kinmel Arms a great experience and to all our customers who come back to visit us time and again. (Lynn was over the moon about the award and I accepted it in usual 'Victor Meldrew' style)

On the running front Wes and I competed in the Eddie Faure 10k Rhuddlan River Run on Father's Day. Wes came a fantastic 20th with 41mins while I came in 27th with 43mins, we were both really chuffed with those times! Next up should be 'The Fairy Freckled Cow Trail race' on Sunday 5th July at Llyn Alwen Reservoir, its about 11k and with a name like that we've just got to run it!!
